These onion pakoda is very easy and super quick to make and taste yummy, crunchy and tasty. This pakoda are a type of fritters made with onions gram flour, spices and herbs. We can serve this onion pakoda hot with hot tea/ coffee or green chutney or tomato sauce etc.

Ingredients:
2 onions ( finely sliced)
Gram flour 150 gm
3 green chilies ( choped)
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
Salt as per taste
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain dana) fully optional
10 -15 coriander leaves ( finely chopped)
Oil for frying pakoda
1 cup water or as per needed

How to make the recipe step-by-step:
- First of all slice onions thin and add them on a bowl.
- Add on it, all the ingredients such as gram flour, chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, coriander leaves, carom seeds and salt.
- Squeeze well by using your fingers.
- Mix everything well to coat the onions with the flour.
- Add the water and mix the flour to make a moist mass of dough. Please don't take too much water, otherwise the pakoda not make a perfect. The dough must be tight and yet very moist and not soggy.

How to cook the onion pakoda/ Piyazoo
- Heat oil in a kadhai or fry pan until very hot.

- Immediately the oil will sizzle.
- Take a small amount of dough and make small pakoda with the help of fingers and slide them gently in the heat oil.

- Remember that do not add more pakodas in the pan, because they should have some space in the pan to swim around and fry well.

- When frying stir and if needed flip the onion pakodas occasionally for even frying.
- Fry them till they turn crispy and golden.
- Then transfer them with an absorbent tissue paper placed in a plate.

- Continue to make more onion pakodas in batches with the rest of the dough.
- Serve hot and crispy onion pakoda with a cup of tea or coffee. You can also serve with green chutney or tomato sauce.
Onion pakoda is one of the most popular snacks especially during the month of Ramzan or Ramadhan and also in winter or monsoon season. Most of the people love this onion pakoda. It is also called 'Piyazoo'.
