Definition of tomatoes:

Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C, potassium, Fibre, Vitamin K and many more. Tomato puree is very easy to cook. It can be uses in many Indian dishes.



Tomato puree is very easy to prepare. Let's get started to make our homemade tomato puree. Few ingredients are needed to make. These are as follows:



Ingredients:


  1.  Fresh red Tomatoes  1 kg
  2.  Olive oil 2 teaspoon
  3. 1 teaspoon vinegar ( It is optional – use only if storing for a long time)
  4. Sugar   ½ cup
  5. Salt       ½ teaspoon

How to Prepare Tomato Puree :(Method)



  • Wash and clean tomatoes properly.

  • Apply a small cut mark on Tomatoes and then boil water for 2 minutes and add the tomatoes on it.

  • Cook in medium flame for 8-10 minutes. Soon You will notice that the skin peeling off from the tomatoes. 

  • Now turn off the flame and remove Tomatoes from hot water and drop them in cold water. It helps to make the peeling process easier.

  • Puree them in a mixer or blender to make a smooth paste. But please don't use water in this process.

  • The next process is take a pan. Heat the olive oil and pour the pureed tomatoes. Add sugar , salt and vinegar on it.  Then leave it for boiling nicely in medium flame for about 15 minutes.

  • Allow it to boil until get thick consistency . And puree give deep red rich colour.

  • Lastly, allow the puree to cool down completely and then store it airtight container  and keep it in refrigerator for longer time use.
